Some readers will remember the problems we had last year bringing home the BIG pumpkin, well not this year…
This summer has been exceptionally cold and we were lucky that there was a brief warm spell in late September (or so we are told, we were in the Tirol at the time, I will get around writing about it sometime), which ripened up the few pumpkins we produced. This year’s total pumpkin harvest weighed in at a measly 9.25Kg, whereas last year the heaviest was 16.4Kg by itself. No need to borrow a bike trailer, this year they could all go into a pair of panniers.
